10 June 2007: SMGFL Presentations

The South Manchester Girls Football League Presentation Day was held at Stockport County on Sunday 10th June. The SMGFL had the smart idea of breaking it up into two with the younger age groups having their presentations first and then the older age groups had theirs - so no-one was left for ages with nothing to do and the place wasn't as crowded as it could have been. (Also they could sell more tickets and raise more money! So good for everyone really).

A Lisbon quiz team asks for help - "So, if the ball is hit with Velocity V, angular momentum A and the wind is blowing across with velocity ..."

First, while waiting for all the attendees to turn up, the League gave out a Football-biased Trivia Quiz which one of the Lisbon teams won! (Can't remember which team but I think Pat was in it?)

Then, after a short wait, the moment we were all waiting for - the team went up for their two Cups (League and League Cup) and their second place (Challenge Cup). Sorry about the quality of the video and the pics - but it was dark in there. And a child had smeared her finger over my lens!
